Khor Fakkan have conceded twelve goals in their first four matches of the 2026-2027 ADNOC Pro League, marking their poorest defensive opening in six years and raising urgent questions for the coaching staff.

Khor Fakkan have started the 2026-2027 ADNOC Pro League with the leakiest defense the club has seen in six seasons. Twelve goals conceded in four games, and a goal difference of minus seven, have left the team exposed and under pressure.

The problems began with a heavy 1-5 loss to Shabab Al Ahli on opening day. Things did not improve: defeats to Al Ain (0-2) and Al Wasl (2-5) followed, with only a single win over Al Dhafra (2-0) offering any relief. After four rounds, Khor Fakkan sit on three points, averaging three goals conceded per match-a rate unmatched in their recent history. The 2-5 defeat to Al Wasl in matchweek four left them in 10th place, according to Sharjah24.

Official league coverage confirmed that Al Wasl and Sharjah were the only home winners in the round that saw Khor Fakkan concede five goals, and the round also pushed the league past 100 total goals.

Looking back at the last five seasons, the contrast is clear. In both 2025-2026 and 2024-2025, Khor Fakkan allowed nine goals in their first four matches. The two years before that, they conceded eight, and in 2021-2022, it was seven. This year, the defense has never looked more vulnerable, and the gap between attack and defense is wider than ever. Andy's Bet Club reports Khor Fakkan's current record as one win, no draws, and three losses, with a goal difference of -7.

The points tally has also slipped. Four points from four matches was their best start in 2025-2026 and 2023-2024. This season's three points match their 2024-2025 opening, but the defensive collapse is new territory. Their only win-a 2-0 result against Al Dhafra-has not changed the bigger picture. Standings from around 5 September, as shown by TipsterArea, confirm Khor Fakkan are already in the lower half of the table, sitting 10th.

The coaching staff now face a clear problem. The current defensive setup is not working, and if nothing changes, Khor Fakkan could spend the season fighting to avoid the drop. The technical team needs to act quickly to fix the back line. With twelve goals already conceded, there is little room for further mistakes. If the club's management does not respond, this season could be remembered for how defensive problems derailed it before autumn was even over.

Before facing Al Wasl, Khor Fakkan entered round four with renewed confidence after securing their first win of the season in round three. However, the optimism was short-lived as the heavy defeat in Dubai left the team with a worrying defensive record and only three points from four matches.
