After just four rounds of the Adnoc Pro League, the goal tally has already hit 100, with Wasl emerging as the most potent attack and Dhafra languishing at the bottom for scoring. United's debut season has delivered a surprise attacking punch, while Jazira's defence stands out as the league's toughest.

High-scoring matches have become routine in the Adnoc Pro League, but the real surprise this season is United's sudden rise as an attacking threat. The newly promoted team has scored 11 goals in four games, outpacing some of the league's established clubs and shaking up expectations about who leads the attack.

Wasl still set the pace in front of goal. With 13 goals from four rounds, they lead the league's scoring charts. Their recent 5-2 win over Khorfakkan in Matchweek 4 brought them to nine points and second place. According to Sharjah24, Sékou Sidibé, Nicolás Giménez, Pedro Malheiro, an own goal by Akram Naqash, and Renato Júnior were on the scoresheet.

Away teams dominated Matchweek 4, winning five out of seven matches, with only Al Wasl and Sharjah securing home victories.

Wasl aren't the only team with firepower. Sharjah and Jazira have both reached double digits for goals, but United's aggressive style has caught other teams off guard. In Sharjah's recent 4-3 win over United, Igor Coronado scored a hat-trick, highlighting both United's ability to score and their defensive weaknesses, as reported by Gulf Today.

At the other end, Dhafra have struggled to make any impact up front. They have scored just once in four games and remain without a point after a 1-0 loss to Al Wahda, with Facundo Daniel scoring in the 81st minute, according to Al Bayan. Kalba have only managed three goals, two of which came in their opening match against Nasr, leaving both teams searching for answers in attack.

Jazira have set the standard defensively. Their goalkeeper, Oglo, has conceded only once, making them the toughest team to break down so far. United, by contrast, have conceded 12 goals-matched only by Khorfakkan-averaging three goals allowed per game.

The UAE Pro League confirmed that Matchweek 4 took the 2026-27 season to the 100-goal mark, with 25 goals scored across seven matches at an average of 3.6 per game. The league also recognized United coach Andrea Pirlo as Best Coach for August 2026, citing his strong start with two wins in United's opening three league matches.

The scoring trend is clear: most goals come after halftime. Of the 100 goals so far, 59 have been scored in the second half, as teams tire and tactics shift. Foreign players lead the scoring, with 45 goals, while UAE nationals have 32 and resident players 23.

The race for top scorer is tight, with six players sharing the lead. Three Brazilians-Guilherme and Igor Coronado of Sharjah, and Renato Junior of Wasl-are joined by three African forwards: Chris Bedia (Nasr), Willy Semedo (United), and Youssouf Niakaté (Bani Yas). This mix highlights the league's international character and the influence of foreign signings.

Own goals have also played a part, with four so far. Wasl have benefited from two: one by Nigero Do (United) and another by Akram Naqqash (Khorfakkan). Ain and Jazira have each gained from own goals by Khorfakkan's Ahmedou Kamara and Ajman's Jefferson Yuri.

The first four rounds have seen the goal count swing from 33 in the opening week, down to 22 and 20, then back up to 25. The league's attacking rhythm is unpredictable. Teams that adjust quickly and find a balance between attack and defence will shape the season. Wasl's scoring and Jazira's defensive record set the early benchmarks, but United's unexpected surge is the story to watch. For Dhafra and Kalba, the numbers are a warning: unless things change soon, the gap will only grow.
