The Abu Dhabi Cycling Club opens its monthly Laffa rides to beginners of all ages and nationalities. The first outing is planned for late October at Zayed City cycling track in Al Dhafra.

On 13 October 2026, Abu Dhabi Cycling Club launched Laffa, a monthly ride programme for newcomers. The club plans to rotate sessions across the emirate, with rides in Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafra. Al Ain is also on the rotation.

The first ride is scheduled for late October at the Zayed City cycling track in Al Dhafra.

Open to all ages and nationalities, Laffa requires no previous cycling experience. Each ride will move at an easy pace. The club says the programme aims to introduce beginners to cycling and bring more people into community sport, rather than train competitive riders. Promoted under the slogan "Ride Safe, Ride Smart", the initiative will also offer prizes and gifts at each outing.

Brief awareness sessions will cover road safety and riding etiquette. Riders will also get guidance on sports nutrition. Sessions will explain helmet use and hand signals, then cover the rules for riding in groups. Practical advice on nutrition and hydration will address what to do before and during exercise.

The club plans to post the schedule and registration details on its official website. Route information will appear there too. Separately, Dubai's October calendar listed the Dubai Fitness Challenge among the month's scheduled activities.

Abu Dhabi Cycling Club will announce the opening ride's exact date and timing through its official website.
