Officials held the 2026/27 draw at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi on October 10, 2026. Al Ain will face Shabab Al Ahli at Rashid Stadium in Dubai. Al Ittihad reported the draw and confirmed Al Ain as the holders.
The 2026/27 competition is the 50th edition of the UAE President's Cup.
Eight ties set the knockout route
Al Wasl meet Kalba at Zabeel Stadium. Sharjah host Al Orooba, who came through the First Division qualifying rounds.
Hatta face United at Hamdan bin Rashid Stadium. Fujairah host Al Wahda. Khor Fakkan welcome Al Dhafra.
Al Nasr play Baniyas at Al Maktoum Stadium, while Al Jazira host Ajman at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.
The 16-team field includes 14 clubs from the ADNOC Pro League and the two First Division qualifiers, Al Orooba and Fujairah. Al Ittihad reported that UAE Football Association secretary-general Mohammed Abdullah Hazzam Al Dhaheri took part in the draw. Officials assigned team numbers and home grounds electronically, then drew the pairings by hand.
A league schedule update set dates for rounds seven to 13 before the competition's Asian Cup pause.
One match decides every round
The quarterfinals and semifinals are scheduled to be played at neutral venues. The final is set for Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.
Shabab Al Ahli lead the competition's honours list with 11 titles, one ahead of Sharjah. Al Ain have won the cup eight times. Al Nasr have four titles, while Al Wasl and Al Jazira have three apiece.
Al Wahda have lifted the trophy twice. Emirates have won it once. Baniyas also have one title, as do Al Shaab and Ajman.
Obaid Salem Al Shamsi, the UAE Football Association's second vice-president, called the cup the country's most prestigious tournament. He pointed to its strong public following and its place in the community. He also thanked the association's president, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, for his support and guidance.
The final will be played at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
