Ajman shares the summit

The win put Ajman level with Al Wasl on nine points, though Al Wasl remains listed as group leader. Baniyas could not find an equaliser after Juma struck, leaving his goal to decide the match.

Shabab Al Ahli also had a close cup contest in its earlier victory. Small margins have shaped the group results.

The UAE Pro League's official third-round schedule listed the Ajman-Baniyas fixture for 9 October at 17:10 local time at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium. YS Scores lists Nasser Al-Ali as the referee.
