The UAE will host the 2027 DP World Tour Championship along with three other major golf tournaments, strengthening its reputation as a leading destination for the sport. The new season schedule also brings major events to Bahrain and Qatar, with 42 tournaments planned across 24 countries.

The 2027 DP World Tour season will finish in the United Arab Emirates, with the country set to host the DP World Tour Championship and three other major tournaments in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. These events confirm the UAE's ongoing draw for top players and its established reputation for hosting major golf competitions.

Abu Dhabi's flagship tournament is scheduled for 4-7 November 2027, followed by the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai from 11-14 November. Both are part of the Rolex Series, which brings together many of the world's best golfers. The Hero Dubai Desert Classic will take place from 21-24 January, and the Team Cup returns to Abu Dhabi from 15-17 January at Abu Dhabi Golf Resort, rounding out the UAE's four events for the season.

The UAE will host three of the Tour's five Rolex Series events in 2027, making it the only country to stage more than one of these elite tournaments that season.

The 2027 calendar also expands the region's presence with the Bapco Energies Bahrain event at Royal Golf Club from 28-31 January and the Qatar Masters at Doha Golf Club from 3-6 February. In total, the DP World Tour will feature 42 tournaments in 24 countries, with the Middle East playing a central role. According to the DP World Tour's announcement on 16 September 2026, the UAE will host the final stages of the season, with the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links and the Dubai finale closing out the playoffs.

Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour, pointed to the expanded schedule and the return of national opens in Singapore and Portugal. He said the 2027 season will include 17 national open championships along with other international events, showing the tour's global reach. Kinnings described the 2027 calendar as a sign of the DP World Tour's strength and appeal, as reported by the Tour.

The UAE's consistent role as host for the DP World Tour's most important events comes down to its infrastructure, hospitality, and experience. The calendar keeps Abu Dhabi and Dubai at the center of professional golf, while neighboring Gulf countries continue to develop their own tournaments.

The 2027 DP World Tour schedule marks the return of three historic tournaments: the Singapore Open and Hong Kong Open in Asia, and the Portugal Open in Europe. Additionally, the BMW PGA Championship was rescheduled to 23-26 September 2027 to avoid a clash with the Ryder Cup, resulting in a reshuffled end-of-season calendar around the UAE playoffs.

The Race to Dubai rankings have often shifted dramatically after these UAE events, with players' standings sometimes depending on their performance in these high-stakes tournaments, as reported earlier.

With the 2027 schedule now set, the UAE's role as a central hub for the DP World Tour is clear. Its investment and reliable organization have made it a key part of the global golf calendar, and the upcoming season will only strengthen that position.
