Government teams add a second contest
The Sir Bu Nair Challenge ran for three days on Al Heera Beach and brought together representatives of 46 Sharjah government entities. Each team comprised six employees from one organization, which could enter no more than two teams. Organizers said the contest was intended to strengthen teamwork and interaction among government employees outside their usual workplace.
Sharjah's sporting calendar also includes football. Shabab Al Ahli secured its first ADIB Cup win over United.
The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority organised the races through Sharjah Sports Channel, working with Sharjah Marine Sports Club.
