The Emirates Golf Federation has introduced a new falcon-inspired visual identity, aiming to grow the sport, develop local talent, and strengthen the UAE's presence in golf at home and abroad.

The Emirates Golf Federation has introduced a new visual identity centered on the falcon, a symbol closely tied to UAE heritage. The rebrand is intended to signal the Federation's plans for the future of golf in the Emirates.

The falcon was chosen for its association with vision, precision, patience, discipline, and strength-qualities valued in both Emirati culture and competitive golf. The design also uses the red, green, white, and black of the UAE flag, underlining the Federation's focus on national pride and unity. According to Al Bayan, the new identity was unveiled on 20 September 2026 and will be used across all official platforms, national teams, tournaments, sportswear, and communications. The Federation sees this as a full brand update, not just a new logo.

"The Emirates Golf Federation confirmed that the new identity will be rolled out across all official platforms, national teams, tournaments, sportswear, and communications materials, representing a full brand-system update rather than just a logo change."
- Al Bayan

Major General (Ret.) Abdullah Al Hashmi, President of the Emirates Golf Federation, described the rebrand as an important step. He said an identity should reflect not only the institution but also its values and direction. Al Hashmi explained, "This new identity marks an important phase for the Federation; it unites our national identity and the values that drive our work, while providing a clearer expression of our aspirations for the future of the sport."

The Federation's plans go beyond the new look. The rebrand is part of a broader effort to find and develop young talent, prepare national teams for competition, and expand the sport's reach in the UAE. The falcon and flag colors are meant to reinforce the connection to national heritage and signal a long-term commitment to building a strong base of Emirati golfers.

This move comes as other UAE sports organizations also update their identities and goals. As reported earlier, national leaders have called for sporting excellence and unity, highlighting the role of identity in shaping the country's sports scene.

"The falcon has been one of the UAE's strongest national symbols since the country officially adopted its emblem featuring the golden falcon in December 1973, shortly after the Union was formed. The Emirates Golf Federation's rebrand fits into a wider 2026 pattern of unified identity launches across UAE public institutions, including the Ministry of Economy and Tourism's launch of the 'Visit UAE' brand to unify the seven emirates under one tourism identity."

By focusing on the falcon and national colors, the Emirates Golf Federation is tying its future to UAE heritage and setting a clear direction for the sport. The rebrand is meant to inspire players, bring together stakeholders, and highlight the UAE's growing role in golf. The Federation's focus on talent development and international competition now has a visual identity to match. According to Al Bayan, there have been no major disputes or controversies reported around the rebrand.
