Dubai came into the game after beating Barcelona 94-87. Against Red Star, its shooting numbers told a different story.

Red Star won the shooting battle

Red Star made 29 of 66 field-goal attempts, shooting 43.9%. Dubai converted 20 of 61, or 32.8%. From three-point range, Red Star hit eight of 30 attempts. Dubai made five of 22.

Dubai's best return came at the free-throw line: 13 of 16, or 81.2%. Red Star made 11 of 16. That edge could not make up for Dubai's lower field-goal percentage or its struggles creating shots.

The game was played on October 8, 2026, in the fourth round of the EuroLeague. Novosti reported that the win was Red Star's second in a row in the competition.

Red Star grabbed 41 rebounds to Dubai's 36 and had 18 assists against Dubai's 11. Both teams pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.

Dubai recorded seven steals and 11 turnovers. Red Star had eight steals and 10 turnovers.

Pascual demands a response

Head coach Xavi Pascual called Dubai's performance a "catastrophic" 40 minutes. He said his side had competed only in the opening period before losing control.

Pascual faulted the defense and the team's failure to share the ball. He also said Dubai lacked energy.

Dubai stayed within reach for stretches of the first half, but Pascual said his players needed a stronger response after the break. Red Star's eight-point run instead dented their confidence. The gap grew as Dubai struggled to create and convert chances. Serbian outlet Politika also reported that Red Star took control and Dubai could not mount a comeback.

Pascual said Dubai must change its rhythm quickly and focus on the next game.
