The UAE Marine Sports Federation has hired Siren to organise the December 2026 Euro Cup. The announcement names no venue or exact race date.

Emirates News Agency, known as WAM, reported that Siren will act as a specialist organiser of dragon boat competitions in the UAE. The federation has appointed the company to organise the Euro Cup, scheduled for December 2026.

The federation says the championship is intended to support dragon boat racing and widen participation. It would also add an international event to the country's marine sports programme.

The federation signed the agreement with Siren on 9 October 2026, with the Dragon Boat Euro Cup planned for December.

Organising expertise and participation

Khalid bin Dasmal, the federation's secretary general, said the event would help develop dragon boat racing in the UAE and attract more participants. He also linked hosting competitions of this kind to the country's standing as a destination for international sports events.

The federation says it wants marine sports events to bring together competition and teamwork. It also hopes to introduce more people to the disciplines.

WAM reported that the federation sees the Euro Cup as part of a broader effort to attract international competitions, expand the marine sports calendar and increase participation. Its report did not specify the venue, teams, race distances, prize fund or exact date in December.

A partnership for the December event

Federation board member Aref Al Heranki said Siren's experience organising dragon boat competitions in the UAE would support preparations and event operations. WAM reported that the partnership aims to improve arrangements for teams and spectators.

The announcement adds a marine sports event to a calendar that also includes a Sharjah university powerlifting event, which serves a different sporting audience.

The championship remains scheduled for December 2026. The announcement gives no exact race date.
