The final climb to Monte Berico came after a hilly route from Verona covering about 167 kilometres. The 89th edition of the one-day UCI 1.Pro race was held on 14 October, with the uphill finish in Vicenza.
Alessandro Covi of Team Jayco AlUla took the win in 3 hours, 35 minutes and 52 seconds, his first victory of the 2026 season. Anthon Charmig of Uno-X Mobility finished second, with Cosnefroy third. All three were credited with the same time. Covi made his move roughly 200 metres from the line, beating the others in a reduced group rather than a mass sprint.
Fabio Christen crossed in fourth. Christian Scaroni came fifth.
UAE Team Emirates-XRG had named Brandon McNulty as its team leader before the race. In the closing kilometres, the reigning world champion backed Cosnefroy. The French rider said that support gave him an extra boost in the final kilometre and helped him reach the podium.
Cosnefroy was pleased with third place, though he had hoped to challenge for the win. He also praised the team's work throughout the race. UAE readers following cycling beyond elite results can find the club's beginner cycling sessions.
