The 23rd Sharjah Arabian Horse Festival: Local Production will draw 223 UAE-bred horses to the club. Competition starts at 3pm each day.

Sessions begin at 3pm each day in the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club's indoor arena. The club will host 223 locally bred Arabian horses at the 23rd Sharjah Arabian Horse Festival: Local Production, a three-day event focused on UAE breeding and the preservation of purebred Arabian lines.

Entries come from studs and stables across the country, with owners also represented, Sharjah24 reported.

The festival runs from 16 to 18 October 2026. Its eight classes are divided by the horses' age and sex.

The first day features 86 fillies. There are 26 yearlings and 38 two-year-olds.

The remaining 22 fillies are three-year-olds. On the second day, 98 horses are scheduled to compete, starting with 24 mares aged four and over.

Next in the programme are 23 yearling colts. The two-year-old colt class has 34 entries, followed by 17 three-year-old colts.

The final day opens with the eighth class, for 39 stallions aged four and over. They will compete in sections A and B.

Six championships follow the final class. Gold titles will be awarded, with silver also on offer. Bronze titles are part of the awards as well.

Held under the patronage of Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the festival is organised by the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club alongside ECAHO. The UAE Arabian Horse Association is also an organiser. Sharjah24 names the Emirates Arabian Horse Society as a collaborating partner.

Sponsors include Sharjah Sports Council and Al Badayer Stud. Dubai Arabian Horse Stud and Sharjah Horse Hospital are also sponsors. Sharjah Sports TV and Centro Sharjah are on the sponsor list, along with Al Marwan.

Sharjah has also recognised student work on accessible homes, a separate initiative covered in a report on inclusive villa designs.
