Duba's third season brings together 1,812 players from 23 clubs and academies for 321 games through 13 December. A new app provides access to fixtures, results and tournament statistics.

The season opened at Shabab Al Ahli's Dubai venue. It brings together 1,812 players from 23 clubs and academies. Organizers have scheduled 321 games through 13 December.

A new tournament app lets teams, players, coaches and fans check fixtures, results and competition statistics. It is the league's first dedicated digital platform.

On 4 October 2026, Dubai Basketball-not the youth Duba league-beat Perspektiva Ilirija 85-70 in Ljubljana in the ABA League's second round, according to the official match record.

A wider field across Dubai and beyond

The men's field includes Al Nasr, Al Wasl, Shabab Al Ahli and Sharjah. Sharjah also has a women's team, while Khor Fakkan is represented by its men's team. Basketball academies from across the UAE are taking part, too.

The league gives young players a place to compete. It connects with other work on the national pathway, including a UAE youth camp report. Players can test themselves against peers from clubs and academies.

Duba is separate from Dubai Basketball, the city's professional club. The National News Worldwide reported that the club's 2026/27 season includes games in both the ABA League and EuroLeague. Home fixtures are scheduled against teams including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Olympiacos and Fenerbahçe.

Dubai Basketball's 2026/27 home calendar is scheduled to include 32 games at Coca-Cola Arena, with the season set to run through 16 April 2027.

Rules and digital access shape the season

The competition is being run in cooperation with the UAE Basketball Association. It follows the latest rules and regulations adopted by the International Basketball Federation, including provisions for refereeing and match management. Those rules set the framework for the season.

The app adds a digital way to follow the games. The competition itself remains central: 321 scheduled games across clubs and academies. Duba's third season gives a large group of young players a structured setting for regular match experience. That matters for the sport's development in the UAE.
