After home wins over Real Madrid and Barcelona, Dubai Basketball returns to Coca-Cola Arena for a shot at a third straight victory there. Crvena Zvezda arrives fresh from its first EuroLeague win of the season.

Dubai Basketball beat Real Madrid 78-77 and Barcelona 94-87 at Coca-Cola Arena. The team now faces Crvena Zvezda, with a third home win on the line. SKWEEK reported that Dubai was 2-1 in the EuroLeague as of October 5, after those victories and a 66-76 loss to Fenerbahçe.

That defeat came on the road. Crvena Zvezda arrives in Dubai after beating Anadolu Efes 77-72 in Round 3 for its first EuroLeague win this season. Vivat Sport reported that Chima Moneke led the winners with 18 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Nwora added 12 points. Jordan Loyd had 17 points and seven rebounds for Efes.

Dubai Basketball and Crvena Zvezda are scheduled to meet on October 8, 2026, at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

Day of Dubai

A familiar opponent with a split record

The teams met twice in the 2025-26 EuroLeague season. Eurohoops records a 102-86 Dubai home win on November 11, 2025, then a 95-92 Crvena Zvezda victory in Belgrade on January 30, 2026. Each side has won once. Both victories came at home.

Both clubs are among the few teams competing in the EuroLeague and ABA League this season. That adds another demanding game to a busy start for each team.

In ABA League action, Dubai beat Perspektiva Ilirija 85-70 while missing Awudu Abass, Justin Anderson, Davis Bertans, Mouhammadou Jaiteh, Mfiondu Kabengele, Dzanan Musa and McKinley Wright IV. Crvena Zvezda had recently lost 89-90 to FMP; Andrej Bjelic, Ognjen Dobrić, Johnathan Motley, Semi Ojeleye and Nick Weiler-Babb were absent in that game.

Injuries narrow Dubai's options

Coach Xavi Pascual will be without Dzanan Musa and Justin Anderson because of injuries. Dubai's staff will need to adjust the rotation during a packed opening stretch of the European season. The squad still has players with extensive experience at the highest levels of European basketball.

Dubai has beaten two of Europe's leading clubs at Coca-Cola Arena. Now it has a chance to extend that home run. Crvena Zvezda comes in with a 1-2 EuroLeague record after its first win, while Dubai is 2-1. Two rotation players are unavailable. The visitors arrive with confidence after their first victory. A win at home would answer the setback in Istanbul.
